The pandemic created widespread uncertainty, leading to rising economic pressures. As a result, more people turned to the creator economy, seeking new ways to earn money.


This shift has increased competition, with more creators entering the space, making it harder to stand out. At the same time, the growing influence of AI and changes in platform algorithms have created an unpredictable environment for creators.


However, this challenge is not unique to the creator economy alone.     You need to start from your core values, preferences, and passions. After trying different approaches, I realized that what works for others might not be right for me. It’s important to first clarify your own goals and values, then take action accordingly. This way, you avoid unnecessary detours.


  • Understand Your Audience: Who are they, and what do they need? When the economy changes, so do your audience’s priorities.


    I’ve observed reading data from different platforms for the same topic, and it quickly became apparent that the audience groups are different. This helped me understand how the same content could perform differently depending on the platform and audience.


  • Understand Your Collaborators (Stakeholders): These can be platforms, or algorithms.


    Understanding how these elements work helps you craft content that aligns with the distribution channels while ensuring it remains relevant to your audience.

    I plan my content in advance, ensuring I have enough content scheduled to maintain consistency—even when the weather doesn’t cooperate or unforeseen challenges arise.


  • Use AI Tools: Leverage AI to automate tasks like scheduling posts or managing emails. This can free up more time for creative work.


    Any scheduling tool or the built-in scheduling function on platforms is highly recommended to streamline content management.


  • Maintain a Positive Mindset: Patience and balance are crucial.


    In the creator economy, success doesn’t come overnight. It’s important to stay calm, keep a healthy balance, and remain persistent.


    For handling rejection, believe in your value and trust yourself. For criticism, accept the constructive feedback and improve, but block or report unwarranted abuse. Setting boundaries is essential to maintaining mental well-being.

AI plays a crucial role in the creator economy by acting as a helper and supporter.


One of its most significant contributions is streamlining processes and handling repetitive tasks. As AI technology continues to evolve, it collaborates with humans to spark deeper innovation and creative breakthroughs. AI is not here to replace creativity, but to enhance it.

For example, I believe ChatGPT is a good tool for brainstorming. It’s an efficient assistant for organizing thoughts, overcoming creative blocks, and enhancing the creative process.
